I'm all caught up with Merlin 2X06 now. Arthur's neatly brushed (combed?) bangs under his crown in 2X06 makes me want nerd!Arthur fics.

1. Sorority Boys -- with Merlin, Arthur and Will. Arthur/Ann clearly must be Adam/Adina, with his complex about his/her fat ass arse >=D
Will is the stoner eternal senior who takes crossdressing in stride.
Morgana is the nearsighted sorority president, because Katie McGrath wearing glasses IS CANON. Gwen is going to beat Merlin up (or get Lancelot to beat Merlin up) when she realized Merlin had been taking showers with Morgana =O

Sir Leon can be the sleazy scumbag loser who roofied Arthur/Ann.
Cedric is the guy who stole the fraternity's money and blame Merlin.

Uther hitting on Merlin on the yatch = BONUS because he's always thought Arthur's friend isn't quite right in the head.

2. Hors de prix/Priceless -- with Merlin as the golddigger Irene and Arthur as the hotel barman Jean. Merlin mistook Arthur as a millionaire and put the moves on him. Arthur went along with the charade, fell for Merlin, etc.

A year later, the two met again at the same hotel. It's Merlin's birthday and he's had a cozy arrangement with Uther for three years now. Uther caught Merlin cheating with Arthur, Merlin threw his lot in with Arthur only to realize that he's the help AHAHAHAHAHA.

Merlin moved on to Lancelot (du Lac sr. just croaked, leaving his massive wealth to Lancelot). Arthur wouldn't give up on Merlin and ended up being Lady Helen's boy toy so he can continue going on dates with Merlin.

I stopped watching the movie at this point so IDK what happened next, haha.

3. I'm contemplating claiming Bluebeard over at [info - livejournal.com] tobreakthespell. But IDK if I'll be motivated to see the fic through, since it's not a happy one =/

For some reason I can't think of any happy fairy tales that match the Merlin fandom =S (that hasn't already been claimed, that is.)

Arthur Blackguard--too evocative of WoW and RPGs, Y/N?

P.S. Hi! I'm sorta-not-quite back yet! *waves* Hope everyone's doing fine.
P.P.S.In other news, my laptop's monitor & graphic card died last Thursday.

But it's a mess with purpose. ::nods firmly::

I'm down to four boxes of mostly paper left to go through in the keep/recycle/shred project. FOUR. Considering that I started Friday afternoon with nine (not all full) boxes, a huge shopping bag, and a pile on the floor, I'm quite pleased with progress. One of the remaining boxes is mostly hanging files and some stuff I had wanted to keep earlier, so I'll just zoom through that. I have another basket of stuff to recycle, and I did about half the shredding, so there's still more of that. But still. I think I'm done for today--I put in about 90 minutes on it, and I'm going to kick back and read and knit and maybe try to catch up on LJ (I've been at skip=160 all week) for a while. I have a few things on the DVR I want to watch, and then I'm going back to SL's for a late lunch.

I found my list of notes for storing and filing things from about a year ago. It mostly still applies. :-)

There's stuff everywhere, but there are also empty spots on the shelves, so I think this is working out OK. I may need a couple more boxes or a different basket for a couple of the cubbies in the Expedit, but I'll think about that when I have everything down to what I'm keeping. Things aren't quite sorted by like, but I'm getting there. I'm thinking about add-ons for the Besta shelf, too. I may still get that file pull-out, but I'm not sure yet. I like those skinny plastic trays for paper or projects, too. Not that I'd get them now, but I would like to have a plan.

It's sunny and cool today, and I'm happy but confused by the time change. Could we just never change the clocks again? That would be good.

Bad week, weird week, good week, full of whining, headaches, frustrating attempts to card uncooperative wool, good friends, kitties, and a massively insane decision to go through my paper mess, which has (mostly) been conveniently stored in the little room off the deck.

Dear lord, something resembling progress. Somewhere. Maybe not the best choice, but it's the opposite of me being frozen. I'm taking it. )

I took SL's kitties to the vet for their check-ups/vaccinations yesterday, and they sent me silly ecards to say thank you. :D

Wednesday, I went to KM's to help card wool, but the fleece was so fine that it grew neps while we looked at it. She finally declared the project hopeless, and we went in search of a different fleece for her club. By the time we found a couple of possibles, it was time for me to go; we were both exhausted. I felt unhelpful, which may have contributed to the melt-down. Yes, it's all about me. :p

Still fighting the sinus/throat thing. I think it's mostly allergies--I've released huge clouds of old dust and, probably, mold.

Still. YAY!!! Progress! Odd progress, but yay!! \o/

The bad:

Sinus headache that will not go away. Usually, this is not a huge issue when it rains. It's raining.

Apartment a mess. I'm not even sure how it happened; it was fine Friday.

Have yet to take out the recycling, which is going to attack any minute.

I feel like pooh.

The good:

Made risotto for dinner.

The linguica I added to the soup I took out of the freezer is yummy.

I'm making pumpkin cinnamon rolls, finally. Now I just need to stay awake long enough to get them into the oven and out again.

I have progressed on both socks.

Got a lamp for the shelf by the door, so I can see to spin at night.

Liked Castle and So You Think You Can Dance.

I guess I'm doing better than not...
