Movie Quote Thingy
It that meme thing. You have to say which movies these quotes are from. I didn't do the imdb thing. Or I did but the quotes are not random. They're either lines I remembered, lines that affected me, or lines in scenes that were powerful to me. Also, these might not be my 15 favorite movies, but they're movies that are important to me for one reason or another. Also, some of these might actually be television miniseries quotes. *coughs*

1. The man likes chess. Let's get him some rocks.

2. Now I see it. You're going to prevail upon that miserable family to find you a new situation. Ungrateful girl, admit it! Jane Eyre, 2006 mini-series guessed by [info]xreactivity

3. How many times do I have to tell you? You don't put a bra in the dryer! It warps! Hedwig and the Angry Inch guessed by [info]stultiloquentia

4. What is swabbing, exactly? Sense and Sensibility guessed by [info]stultiloquentia

5. I need someone who needs me desperately. Or at least needs my money desperately. Sound of Music guessed by [info]xreactivity

6. I would like so much to reach out and touch you in your loneliness.

7. If I were very beautiful, and had nut-brown hair, would you keep me? Anne of Green Gables mini-series guessed by [info]xreactivity

8. Derek says it's always best to end a paper with a quote. He says somebody else has already said it best, so if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong.

9. I wanted to destroy something beautiful. Fight Club guessed by [info]cimera

10. Some men get the world. Others get ex-hookers and a trip to Arizona. L.A. Confidential guessed by [info]fodian

11. If I wasn't such a bad woman on the page, I couldn't be such a good woman in life.

12. We've got chicken tonight. Strangest damn things. They're man made. Little damn things. Smaller than my fist. But they're new. Eraserhead guessed by [info]my_daroga

13. Wiping out the human race? That's a great idea. That's great. But more of a long-term thing. I mean, first we have to focus on more immediate goals.

14. Will someone get this walking carpet out of my way? Star Wars guessed by [info]kita0610

15. I cannot jump the distance. You'll have to toss me. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers guessed by [info]cimera

My favorite is actually Empire Strikes Back, actually, but that line was too good. Though "Who you callin' scruffy looking?" is a good one, too!

I was pleased to see that one on your list, too! It was the only one I knew. I quote this line all the time. I wrote it on my wall at my parents' house!

Oh, and now that I have someone who knows what I'm talking about:

Does Wesley Wyndham-Price remind you of Ed Exley (Guy Pearce's character)?

Oh, god, yes. In fact Guy Pierce in almost anything, including Memento. I watched that whole movie going, "No, Wesley, no!"

HEE.

I don't know how I did this, but you were supposed to be on my people-that-make-my-day list. Every time I see a post or a comment from you, I'm a little happier.

Thanks for being such an extraordinary soul.

If I were to construct a reading list titled "For the Decipherment of Unlikely Sibling In-Jokes," The Land Before Time would rank somewhere in the top twenty.

Also, blushing now. I like you, too.

The only one I knew that wasn't crossed off was 9. Fight Club, but someone else got to it first. Although 8 sounds insanely familiar. Familiar enough that I'm going to google it immediately after posting this because it's going to bug me!
